Not redesigning

I made a decision this morning to not redesign my blog/website. Partially to swallow my own pill of accepting that most things in my life are imperfect but good enough, but also because I thought I should focus on what I really want to do, which is to write and publish more.

I don’t have much of a talent for web design anyway — even if I end up using Webflow to redesign my blog/website, the design is still going to end up as minimalist as it is right now, which is the way I like it.

So for now, no more wavering over whether I should redesign my blog/website. Case closed!

  1. I can’t talk, I’m always tweaking mine, I just can’t resist it. For me, however, I know that I’m feeling okay when I want to geek out and change things – it’s a sign that my depression isn’t taking full hold. It’s when I can’t be bothered that I know things are bad.

Still, redesigning is indeed a distraction from the core purpose of the blog: getting posts out into the world. If you’re happy with it then that’s all that’s important, it saves time to spend on more important things.

    1. I know exactly what you mean. To wanna be tinkering with things means that we’re excited and curious again about life, but on the flip side it could also just be plain procrastination. I might change my mind in the near future but for now I shall leave things as they are and focus on writing, which is what this whole thing is for!
